International Season of 1991/92, Part 11 (June and July 1992)

 

 

June and July

Denmark were victorious in the 1992 UEFA European Championships.

Yugoslavia were banned just prior to the Tournament because of the ongoing Civil War and Denmark came on as their replacement.

Rinus Michels left his post as Holland Manager following Holland’s elimination in the semifinals of the Euros vs. Denmark.

On June 11, 1992, Alkis Panagoulias was appointed as Greece National Team Manager.

Gary Lineker played for England for the last time in England’s loss vs. Sweden in the Euros.

On July 2, 1992, Michel Platini resigned as France National Team Manager.

On July 9, 1992, Gerard Houllier was appointed as France National Team Manager.
