International Season of 1991/92, Part 9 (April 1992)

 

 

April

Belgium and Spain started their 1994 World Cup qualifiers with wins. Vicente Miera managed Spain for the last time.

Most other European Nations played friendlies at the end of the month.

Brazil suffered its first defeat under new Manager Carlos Alberto Parreira in a friendly vs. Uruguay.

On April 15,1992, Junior was called up fby Brazil for the first time since the 1986 World Cup.

Gary Lineker scored his 48th and final goal for England in their tie vs. C.I.S..
