- A large group of Iranian fans had gathered near the Portuguese Hotel and made noise to disrupt their sleep. Cristiano Ronaldo was seen at his window motioning to the fans to leave and let him sleep. (Source Marca.com online)

-Iran were eliminated as Portugal and Spain advanced to the next round.

-Roberto Martinez could make up to ten changes for their next match vs. England due to injuries and playser on yellow cards. He said that changing every outfield player ‘could be an option’. (Source BBC Football online)

-The German Federation has disciplined Uli Voigt (Responsibel for Media relations) and Georg Behlau (in charge of Organization) from the team following the over-celebration incidents in the match vs. Sweden. The duo will not be doing their tasks inside the stadiums. (Source L’Equipe online)
