This is the 44th episode of my podcast with Mr. Paul Whittle of https://the1888letter.com/,
@1888letter.
For this episode, we interview Mr. Patrick Horne
to discuss his book ‘Black Pioneers of the North American Soccer League
(1968-1984)’
Mr. Horne is an author, a freelance sports
journalist, teacher and a college soccer coach from New York City. He has
covered the 1994 World Cup and a regular column on cricket for American
Newspaper Newsday. He has also reported on the MLS and CONCACACF competitions
for Caribbean life newspaper.
Mr. Horne also played in the old North American
Soccer League (NASL) in the 70s.
In our discussion on Mr Horne’s book we hope to
learn more about the history of the NASL and the players involved.
