International Season 1978/79, Part 4 (November 1978)


November

Italy were heavily defeated by Czechoslovakia (0-3) in a friendly at Bratislava.
France’s Léonard Specht scored on his international debut as France defetaed Spain (1-0) in a friendly.
Former West Germany Helmut Schoen was honored prior to a friendly vs. Hungary that ended prematurely due to heavy fog.
Holland defeated East germany (3-0) in a qualifier in their Group.
Spain defeated Romania (1-0) in its Group.
USSR toured Japan for a series of friendlies.
England defeated Czechoslovakia (1-0) ina high profile friendly at Wembley at the end of the month.
