October

On October 13, 1990, Ingvar Stadheim announced his resignation as Norway manager.
Iran won the Asian Games on a penalty kick shoot-out vs. North Korea.
Croatia (not yet independent) played a friendly vs. USA.
Austria with new manager Alfred Riedl suffered a heavy loss (1-4) vs. Yugoslavia at the end of the month in a Euro qualifier.
Pele’s 50th Anniversary match was held at Milan with a World Selection facing Brazil with Pele playing in the first half.
Egil Olsen managed Norway for the first time in a (6-1) win over Cameroon at the end of month.
