For this episode, I interview USA National Soccer Hall of Famer
and Broadcaster,
Dr. Joe Machnik, as we discuss the USA Soccer History from
the 1970s to the pre-1994 World Cup era.
Dr. Machnik has been involved in the sport in the United States
for many decades as a player, coach, referee broadcaster and Author.
He was inducted into the USA National Soccer Hall of Fame in
2017.
He was an Assistant Manager of the USA National Team during the
1990 World Cup.
He started the No. 1 Goal Keeper's Camp in 1977, that was later
expanded to include field players and renamed No. 1 Soccer Camps. This camp has
trained many American Internationals in its existence.
He has been the Director of Refereeing for many Leagues and
Tournaments.
Currently, Dr. Machnik is the rules and match commentator on Fox
Sports.
