The
very first match between the Nations occurred on February 26th, 1922
at Turin and ended in a tie.
Their
next encounter in the decade would be a year later on May 27th, 1923
at Prague with Czechoslovakia winning (5-1). This would turn out to be the
Czechs largest win over Italy.
They
would face each other home and away in 1926 and 1927 with both sides dominant
at home in 1926 and ending in ties in 1927.
The
first match in 1926 would feature Giampiero Combi and Frantisek Planicka, the
respective Captains of their Nations in the 1934 Final between the two sides.
The
last two matches between the sides in this decade in 1927 and 1929 would be as
part of the Dr. Gerö Cup.
