1930s
Just
like the previous decade, the two sides would face each other seven times, the
most in any following decade.
Surely
the sides would have met more had it not been for impending political conflicts
that would lead to World War II.
Of
these seven matches four were as part of the Dr. Gerö Cup and only one friendly
in 1936.
The
most famous match between the two Nations was the 1934 World Cup Final that
Italy won (2-1) to win its first World Cup.
Italy were
victorious four times in this decade and defeated Czechoslovakia away for the
first time in 1937.
