International Season 1986/87, Part 11 (June 1987)

June

Italy hosted Argentina in a prestige friendly and won (3-1).
Sweden defeated Italy (1-0). This was Vicini’ first defeat as Italy Manager.
France, missing the retired Platini, reached new depths with their loss at Norway (0-2). Noway was being managed for the first time by Tore Röste Fossen.
Most South American Nations played friendlies in preparation for the Copa America.
The Copa America kicked off at the end of the month at Argentina, with the hosts tying Peru (1-1). The following day Brazil defeated Venenzuela (5-0).
