Raúl Pedro Sánchez Soya 
Raúl Pedro Sánchez Soya was an Chilean defender from the 50s and 60s.
He spent the majority of his career at Santiago Wanderers.
He was part of Chile’s 1962 World Cup squad on home soil.
He passed away on February 28th, aged 82.

Johannes Löhr 
Johannes Löhr was a West German striker who represented FC Koln in the 50s and 60s.
He earned 20 caps between 1967 and 1972.
He Managed West Germany’s Under-21 squad for 16 years (1986/2002).
He passed away on February 29th, aged 73.

José Parra Martínez 
José Parra Martínez was a Spanish defender from the 40s and 50s, with a long spell at RCD Espanol.
He earned 7 caps between 1950 and 1951.
He passed away on February 29th, aged 90.


Allan Richard Michaelsen 
Allan Richard Michaelsen was a Danish midfielder and later Manager from the 60s and into the early 80s.
He played for B 1903, before playing for Western European clubs such as Nantes and Eintracht Braunschweig in the 70s.
He earned 8 caps between 1969 and 1972.
He passed away on March 2nd , aged 68.

Yuri Konstantinovich Kuznetsov 
Yuri Konstantinovich Kuznetsov was a Soviet Striker from the 50s and 60s.
He had two spells with Neftyanik Baku and one spell with Dunamo Moscow in between.
He earned 3 caps in 1955 and despite scoring goals in two of those matches, he was overlooked thereafter.
He passed away on March 4th, aged 84.


Even Hansen 
Even Hansen was a Norwegian player fron the 50s, with a significant spell at Odds.
He earned a soliray cap in his career.
He passed away on March 5th, aged 92.


Béla Kuharszki 
Béla Kuharszki  was was a Hungarian Striker from the 60s with Ujpesti Dozsa.
He had two spells with Neftyanik Baku and one spell with Dunamo Moscow in between.
He earned 6 caps and was a member of the 1962 World Cup Finals squad.
He passed away on March 7th, aged 75.



Roberto Alfredo Perfumo 
Roberto Alfredo Perfumo was an Argentinean defender who 1960s and 70s.
He had successful spells at Racing Club, Brazil’s Cruzeiro and River Plate.
He earned 37 caps between 1964 and 1974.
He passed away on March 10th  from a head injury after he fell down a stairway at a Restaurant, aged 73.

William Ritchie 
William Ritchie  was a Scottish goalkeeper from the 50s and into the 70s.
He had a long spell at Rangers Glasgow.
He earned a solitary cap in 1962.
He passed away on March 10th, aged 79.


David Joseph Walsh 
David Joseph Walsh was an Irish forward from the 40s and 50s.
He had long spells at West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa.
He was capped by both Irish federations, earning 11 with Northern Ireland and 20 with the Republic between 1946 and 1953.
He passed away on March 14th, aged 92.

José Luis Artetxe Muguire 
José Luis Artetxe Muguire was an Spanish striker from the 50s and 60s.
He spent virtually his entire career at Athletic Bilbao.
He earned 6 caps between 1954 and 1959.
He passed away on March 19th, aged 85.

Jean Cornelis 
Jean Cornelis was a Belgian defender from the late 50s into the early 70s.
He spent over a decade at Anderlecht.
He earned 19 caps between 1962 and 1968.
He passed away on March 21st, aged 74.

Hendrik Johannes ‘Johan’ Cruijff 
What more can be said of one of the greatest players of the game that already has not been said.
Hendrik Johannes ‘Johan’ Cruijff  passed away on March 24th , aged 68.

Raúl Cárdenas de la Vega 
Raúl Cárdenas de la Vega was a FinniMexican player from the 50s and 60s.
With the National team he participated in the 1954, 1958 AND 1962 World Cups.
He later managed the National Team during the 1970 World cup on home soil.
He passed away on March 26th , aged 87.

László Sárosi 
László Sárosi  was a Hungarian defender from the 50s and 60s.
He played for Vasas his entire career.
He earned 46 caps between 1956 and 1965.
He passed away on April 2nd, aged 84.

Cesare Maldini 
Cesare Maldini was an Italian defender and later Manager from the 1950s and 60s.
His longest spell was with AC Milan that he represented with disctinction over a decade.
He was later assistant to Enzo Bearzot for the National Team, managed the Olympic and U-21 squads, and was eleveated as National Team Manager in 1996. He also managed Paraguay during the 2002 World Cup and also had two separate spells (decades apart) managaing AC Milan.
He was the father of Paolo Maldini.
He earned 14 caps between 1960 and 1963.
He passed away on April 3rd, aged 84.

Georgi Hristakiev 
Georgi Hristakiev was a Bulgarian defender from the 60s and 70s.
He played for many teams in his career, he had two spells ta Lokomotiv Sofia.
He earned 14 caps between 1966 and 1973.
He passed away on April 4th, aged 71.

Pedro Eugenio de Felipe Cortés 
Pedro Eugenio de Felipe Cortés  was a Spanish defender from the 60s and 70s.
He had spells at Real Madrid and RCD Espanol.
He earned a solitary cap on October 17, 1973 in a scoreless tie at Turkey.
He passed away on April 12th, aged 71.

Louis Pilot 
Louis Pilot was a midfielder from Luxembourg from the late 50s through the 70s.
He had a long spell at Belgian club Standard Liege. He also managed the Luxembourg National team team (1978/84) and Standard Liege.
He earned 49 caps between 1959and 1971.
He passed away on April 16th, aged 75.

Zoltán Szarka was a Hungarian player from the 1960s.
He represented Hungary during the 1968 Olympics in Mexico.
He passed away on April 18th, aged 73.

Dumitru Antonescu 
Dumitru Antonescu was a Romanian defender from the 60s into the 80s.
He spent his entire career at Electrica Cosntanta.
He earned 13 caps between 1972 and 1974.
He passed away on April 25th, aged 71.

Valeriy Zuyev 
Valeriy Zuyev  was a Soviet defender from the 70s into the early 80s.
He spent most entire career at Dinamo Kiev.
He earned a solitary cap on November 23, 1975 vs. Turkey (0-1 loss) in an EC Qualifier.
He passed away on May 6th, aged 63.

Larry Pinto de Faria

Larry Pinto de Faria was a Brazilian player from the 50s.
He had spells at Fluminense and Internacional.
He participated in the 1952 Olympics.
He passed away on May 6th, aged 83.

Patrick Claude Ekeng Ekeng 
Patrick Claude Ekeng Ekeng  was a Cameroonian midfielder.
He had spells in Europe with Le Mans, Rodez, Lausanne and had joined Dinamo Bucharest just this year.
He earned 2 caps in 2015.
He collapsed on the field in a match vs. Viitorul Constanta on May 6th and died at the hospital, aged just 26.

Nico de Bree 
Nico de Bree was a Dutch goalkeeper from the 60s into the early 80s.
He had spells for a number of teams such as NEC and Belgian clubs RWD Molenbeek and Anderlecht.
He passed away on May 6th, aged 71.

Wolfgang Patzke 
Wolfgang Patzke was a German player from the 70s into the early 90s.
He had spells for a number of teams such as Wattesncheid, Leverkusen and Schalke.
He passed away on May 8th, aged just 57.

He spent most of his career at Kickers Offenbach.
He was a member of West Germany’s 1962 World Cup squad.
He earned 9 caps between 1955 and 1964.
He passed away on May 13th , aged 81.

Zygmunt Kukla

Zygmunt Kukla was a Polish goalkeeper from the 60s into the early 80s.
He spent most of his career at Stal Mielec.
He was a member of Poland’s 1978 World Cup squad.
He earned 20 caps between 1976 and 1978.
He passed away on May 18th , aged 68.
