1- Sebastian
Rambert and Internazionale Milano 1995/96
Argentine
forward Sebastian Rambert joined Internazionale Milano in 1995 along with
compatriot Javier Zanetti. While Zanetti adapted to Calcio and stayed with
Inter for the rest of his career, Rambert struggled and was on his way out at
the end of the season (to Zaragoza) before returning to Argentina.

2- Mateja
Kezman and Chelsea 2004/05
Serbian
striker Mateja Kezman had a prolific spell at PSV Eindhoven (2000-04). This
earned him a transfer to Chelsea (2004/05). However, he failed to settle in a
superb League winning side and was transferred out (to Atletico Madrid) at the
end of the season.

3- Igor
Dobrovolsky and Genoa/Olympique Marseille 1992/93
USSR
player Igor Dobrovolsky was one of the stars of the 1988 Olympics and was naturally
a target for transfer abroad. However, his spells at Castellon, Genoa and
Olympique Marseille among others were all disappointing.

4- Frank
Farina and Bari 1991/92
Australian
striker Frank Farina joined Italian side Bari in the summer of 1991 from Club
Brugge. He only managed a few matches
before he was dropped, loaned out and eventually transferred out by the
beginning of the following season.

5- Ivo
Stas and Aston Villa 1990/01
Czechoslovakia and Banik
Ostarva defender Ivo Stas was signed by former Czechoslovakia National team
manager Jozef Venglos upon taking over at Aston Villa in 1990. However, it was
a disappointing spell and he was back to his former club by 1992.
